I dislike the idea of Harry being so helpless (with the Dursleys). Even wandless, I don't think Harry would be without recourse. Nor do I think he would allow himself to suffer abuse. I realize that everyone that defended him is dead or in hiding but Harry always had the knack for defending himself, and the Harry that you write has completely lost that pluck and spirit that makes him...himself.
The vampire things is...well, even though it's not canon it's interesting and can be done with subtlety. I like Draco as a charecter and find him interesting enough as a choice. I just really *hate* helpless Harry.
Author's Response: This is just one of those fics where Harry's helpless for a while then plucks up courage again. All that angstyness finally caught up with him, you see, and now he's going to find a NEW place to draw strength from. That being... Draco.
