oh wow... I threw myself into "down" right after i finished "caustic", and, wow... The story could fit perfectly with the books. And I rather like what made Snape change sides. You almost made me dislike Sirius though. I said almost. You wrote both Lupin and Snape in a brilliant way but I would have liked to know a bit more of what Remus' opinion on Snape were. Also loved the quotation duels. Ah. I don't really know anymore how to explain what I felt reading your fic... This is so different from the Snape or Remus fics I usually read in French (yes, I am French). This story is so unusual. I really loved it. Gonna read "not love" now...

Author's Response: Oh, hi, thank you! Gah, this is about 14 months old, though, and I generally consider it to *not* be my best effort, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can only hope you feel the same about the stories I *do* think are my better efforts. :) If you can make it to 'Habit', the final part of this series, I think that's one of my better stories.
