So far so good. The only problem I have with this is that in canon, Veritaserum doesn't work like this. We know that Harry made it correctly, and if this were true to canon, Draco would have to have answered truthfully without any hesitation, hedging, or questions like "What does it matter?" I'm going to read on to see what happens from here.

Author's Response: Thanks for commenting. Yes, you're correct, of course, although I have seen fics where people on Veritaserum can fudge their answers a bit depending on how the question is posed, but you are quite right. I suppose I have to claim artistic license. *g* I hope you enjoy the rest. :)
