What started as meaningless sex begins to feel painfully like it should be more. Harry calls it off, but Draco is having problems understanding why the end of something meaningless is hurting so much. Why should not having unattached sexual relations make them both feel even more hollow than having them in the first place?

Just finished reading chapter 8 on your web site. This is really great. You've managed to capture a vibrant anguished love between the two. Author's Response: *is tickled* I've got the bare beginnings of chapter nine started at the moment. I'm doing a revision of all the chapters thus far (the first chapter grated on me badly <<*), and when that and chapter nine are finished, I'll be updating again. ^_^ I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and I warn you this won't be the final cliffhanger. I've still got about four more chapters to figure out.
