True and utter bastard!Snape. Scary. I guess I've been in the habit of reading fics with Snape being snarky and mean, yet misunderstood and truly good at heart. This reminds me of Cheat by Sne..Snego..ru..ka...? I can never remember her name, but in Cheat, the ending gave me the exact same feeling this story did. So cold and unfeeling! This story gave me chills in a good *and* a bad way. I love your work, and will go on a search for more of your stories.
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words! Snape was giving me a hard time that day - not cooperating in my multi-chaptered thing, so I got a little ticked off at him - lol! (Snegurochka is one of my favorites authors, too, although I hadn't found her work yet when I wrote this. In fact, we are writing a story together here on E&S called "Alpha Wolf.")
This is the second time I read this story, the first was a while ago and I've just rediscovered it. I love the ending, it reminds me of the Princess Bride. I'm very please this was a 'kissing' book, because it wouldn't have been near as riveting without reading those two get it on. The one thing I really missed out on is their wing nubs being erogenous zones. After the mentioning of it with Hermione I was looking forward to them being described later on in the story, but I was disappointed not to find any. Oh well. They're still really hot. Thanks for sharing the story!
I'm not usually a Ron/Harry shipper, but you convinced me it could work. The title is still making me giggle like a schoolgirl, and I decide to thank your mother for your inspiration to write this story. It was incredibly sexy in a beautifully awkward way. I wish it weren't over.

I love this story! This is at least the second time I've read it. I'm usually not one for BDSM, or bestiality, but you handled them such that it made sense. And was hot, dammit. When I first read Snape was the sub, I thought, "What?! Never!" But now, when reading other's work, I have to remind myself he isn't Lupin's sub. I liked how you referred to the two throughout the fic as Snape and Lupin, not their first names. I don't know why I liked it in particular, but it just seems easier in a way to refer to them by their last names. The dynamic of their relationship was handled wonderfully. Their reactions to each other made complete sense. Many times the author has to explain why a character feels or acts the way they do, it seemed as if you told it how it was, no explaining or convincing was necessary. I loved the ending. I wish Artemis was *my* birthday present! Not only does Snape get Lupin, but the Greek guy as well? I think the only way to make it up to us readers for this grave injustice is to write, in great detail, the ensuing threesome. Lol! I love this story, and I know I will read it again and again.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I have a real soft spot for this story - my first Snupin, and first real slash. I tried to make the actions speak for the characters, without "explaining" everything - glad it worked. As for the Greek Boy, I am working on that threesome, but very slowly.
I know you couldn't hear it, but my jaw just hit the floor. *reads story again* Wow. Was not expecting that ending at all. Sirius certainly isn't one of my favorite characters, but I still feel bad for him. It was coming to him, telling Remus about Peter's pity fuck, though. The fuck of pity was a nice way to tie the story together.
Author's Response: Could you tell Sirius isn't one of my favorites either? lol! Thanks for the review!
This began life as a one-shot by Snegurochka, but has since turned into a multi-chaptered collaboration between Snegurochka and smoke.

This was an incredible ride. Smoke and Lee, this has to be one of the best developed PWP's I've ever read. I think the aspect that makes it stand out from the rest is you didn't have them develop feelings for each other. Throughout the idea of them getting together kept popping into my mind, but was shot down by reminders of its impossibility and their respective feelings for Fleur and Tonks. That, and it was damn hot through and through.
I will most definitely be coming back and to read this often. Many cheers!
Author's Response: Thank you - so glad you enjoyed it. They will always be very close, but not romantically involved. That was something we were both clear about from the start - although, one of us did waver a bit... ;) -smoke
Author's Response: I totally wavered. I wanted Tonks and Fleur to run off together (note the slightly femslashy allusions in the last two chapters - that's all my fault, heh), and Remus and Bill to go off and live in the forest together in a tent. :) Fortunately, my co-author shook some sense into me. We also didn't want this to be a cheap cheating-on-girlfriend story, either. I'm very glad the balance between wolf and man worked for you - it sounds like the story came across exactly as we intended it, which is great to hear. :) ~Lee
I absolutely love this story. Your Snape is wonderful! I love his witty, biting commentary on everything, and his actions are so refreshingly unreasonable and human. The way he treates Lupin makes me cringe, but it's and unforgiving portrayal of an imperfect person, and it's great. I would pay to see an image of Snape in boardshorts, as well. At first I was a bit reluctant to read a Survivor/Lost plotline, but I'm really, very happy I did. It's such a great way to explore the way in which they react to that situation, and to each other. I can't wait for the next chapter.
