I really enjoyed reading this; you described it all so well! And I have to admit that I laughed at this line: "Next class I'll ask her to help me with Astronomy. With any luck, we'll both fail next term." Bah, I love your opening lines, too. I wish I weren't incoherent right now. In any case, great fic!
