Ha! That last bit is funny. Draco laughing for ten minutes. I would love that. I bet he would have a great laugh. Wait! I do have more to say, hold your hippogriffs. I'm really getting into this, I kinda need to read on. I get that Draco is a vampire - that's not hard to figure. I think it was great that it was rather subtly introduced and that we're not told straight away. Also like that we are kept in the dark with Harry, rather than in some stories where we know what's up and are merely watching others figure it out. All in all, characters kept in -well- character, great writing, and interesting (so much so that I, with the attention span of a flea, wish to read on). Well done!

I dislike the idea of Harry being so helpless (with the Dursleys). Even wandless, I don't think Harry would be without recourse. Nor do I think he would allow himself to suffer abuse. I realize that everyone that defended him is dead or in hiding but Harry always had the knack for defending himself, and the Harry that you write has completely lost that pluck and spirit that makes him...himself. The vampire things is...well, even though it's not canon it's interesting and can be done with subtlety. I like Draco as a charecter and find him interesting enough as a choice. I just really *hate* helpless Harry.

Author's Response: This is just one of those fics where Harry's helpless for a while then plucks up courage again. All that angstyness finally caught up with him, you see, and now he's going to find a NEW place to draw strength from. That being... Draco.

I've read Harry Potter fanfics that included vampirism, but I didn't like them much. Your story is definitely an exception! Are you going to update soon?

Author's Response: Seeing how I spent several weeks trying to post the first two chapters of this, and I'm at chapter 11 now, and this site is so finicky about stories, probably NOT.
